Ghanaian hand-painted movie posters show in NYC

I just came back from seeing the current exhibit at the newly opened Poster House in NYC, which bills itself as a poster museum.  The show is about hand-painted movie posters made in Ghana for the local market in the 1990s, and it's really fun.  I've always liked those posters, they have a naive, sort of folk art/outsider art quality that I appreciate.  I recommend to anyone visiting NYC these days that they should go see this rather unique museum exhibit.

Some of these remind me a bit of Thai movie posters in that they colorfully integrate different parts of the movie into the main image (sometimes adding imagery that isn't even in the film itself).

Thanks for sharing, Antoine. The Ghanaian posters always make me smile, they're good fun.
