Just brilliant.

And the catalogue for that day's sale is not yet published on their site.  Indeed they are still inviting entries...

reading this do you think the relatives of the cinema boss may have a claim to these posters?

I wonder if some of those shown are later, RR posters?  dontknow.gif (like Stagecoach, for example).

Feels like there is more to this story given the 22 year gap in the posters coming to market...I wonder how the anonymous builders came into possession of the posters in the first place?  The article states the owner of the house had died - did they purchase the house from the estate or family and thus took ownership of the house (and remaining contents)?

Did they buy them (or obtain them) from the family or estate after the discovery?

Or, more nefariously, did they simply take them while performing their 'building' work without the homeowners' knowledge...?

wasn't this already talked about (or was that somewhere else)?
another article from last week here - (with a Black Friday poster I'm sure Jeff will like even though it's pretty ugly)
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-40966146

If the events happened the way the story lays them out (builders found them while doing renovations), they absolutely belong to the home owners unless consent was given back then that they could keep them.
Might explain why they waited so long to bring them to market - wanted to wait until the home owners passed.

Another article had a nice shot of the Stagecoach poster, definitely not a re-release.

Love the £150 estimates on the larger posters.
Wonder if I could call them up and offer them double that amount each to take them all of their hands now?
