There is absolutely nothing wrong with Ali McGraw ;) and the Rocketeer quad isn't bad either.

I like how the word, "Teaser" is clearly printed on The Rocketeer quad, in the lower right corner.  thumbup

Not to be confused with the 'FINAL' version as they both use the same artwork  ;D

Thanks, Thierry. You are definitely right about there being nothing wrong with Ali MacGraw. At least she looks a little more relaxed than the RR The Getaway Quad.

I have a German A0 size for The Rocketeer. I think most campaigns used the same artwork, which I think is really awesome, too.

I love the Art Deco style of the poster but I love Art Deco style furniture. Prefer the simple design over the 'Final' which has big type saying Airborne  Indiana Jones.

The art deco style was the big draw for me, too.  thumbsup.gif

Posted this in the Thai region thread, but figured I'd post it here too if that's OK.

To Live and Die In L.A. (1985)

I did my best to find another example of the poster, but haven't seen any pictures or auctions of it anywhere. One of my favorite Friedkin movies, so I was shocked to find this artwork, having had no idea it existed. Can't wait to get it framed.

Took a lot of pictures since it's the only example I could find of it online. They link to Imgur for the full resolution.

Hey Ryan, maybe fellow APF member and Thai poster seller, Pea ("thaimovieposter" - http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php?action=profile;u=4549) can give you more info and let you and the forum know if this poster is more uncommon to find. Plus, she's a friend of Tongdee's too.  ;)

Folded US OS for the 1976RR of It's Alive (1974)

The score by Bernard Hermann is quite impressive, too, imho.

I had actually been reading some of her posts, so funnily enough, I messaged her first thing when I saw the eBay listing. I just asked if she had one available, but she didn't, so I snagged the poster on eBay.

You have a good idea though, I should send her another message and see if she knows anything about it.

Thanks

I'm not familiar with It's Alive, but that imagery makes me think of Rosemary's Baby. Worth watching?

I havent seen it in a really long time. The story was a little hoaky at times but young makeup artist, Rick Baker, also created the monstrous baby puppet and FX.

Had this arrive a couple weeks ago.

Its the Argentinean OS for the Slovenian-produced WWII film called Moments Of Decision (1955).

Being part Slovenian on my dad's side, the vivid and intense stone litho artwork and the fact that one of the actors listed on the poster shares my last name, all made it kind of a no brainer for me to get it.

Very striking, but maybe not one for the wall with those eyes.

You do have a unique taste in poster art sir.  Nary an 'average film du jour' 1 sheet in your collection...

It's not "incredibly" rare but it is a somewhat rare poster. I've only seen a couple besides the one I have. Up close it's a great design, but then again Tongdee painted it.

Thanks, Simon.

Because of the same family name tie-in of the one actor, I thought it would be fun to add to my collection.

Good catch with "It's Alive" Jeff, I love those 1970s Larry Cohen flicks (my fav is "God Told Me To").

JEFF - The Moments Of Decision is a great poster. Love the colours.

MEL - some great posters in the recent additions. Like the Frankenstein and the Goldfinger. Wish Drew would do a poster for the new Blade Runner as I think his posters for the rerelease of Shawkshank and Blade Runner are great.
