Note that we had originally intended to include only 300 lobby cards in Part IV, but we went ahead and included 700 instead (including a couple of hundred that are very affordable!), so that it would make it incredibly easy for buyers to purchase 12 items in the four parts combined, and it also makes it super-easy for you to purchase 12 items from this part alone for not very much total cost, because there are a goodly number of lobby cards that will likely sell for $5 to $20 each!

As of this writing, with a little over a day to go, there are still 73 lobby cards that are $3 each or under, 176 that are $6 each or under, and 354 that are $15 each or under, so that means that over half of the items are still $15 each or under, and most of the items that are over $15 are still far under a typical retail price for that item, so it certainly makes sense to look these items over, even if you don't typically buy lobby cards!

Having so many affordable lobby cards in this final part is truly our holiday gift to you! Even if you have not yet purchased any items in the earlier parts, you can likely easily purchase between 5 and 12 items in this final part for maybe $25 to $50 or so (if you purchase the least expensive ones), and then you will get a giant box of bonus books sent to you (and this is in addition to the bonus t-shirt you would get for purchasing any one item)! Our "Regular" Sunday Items Are Back!

For most of 2010 we had a regular Sunday "line-up" of movie magazines, German programs, glass slides, scripts, and bulk lots, and we auctions around 50 of each each week. These were from some pretty remarkable collections that were consigned to us. The past couple of months we took a break from these "regular" Sunday auctions, because we had lots of other items to auction, and we made our Sunday items resemble our Tuesday and Thursday items.
     Now, however, our regular Sunday items are back, but with a difference. We have auctioned just about all of the glass slides we were consigned, and a large portion of the movie magazines and German programs. So in our new "line-up", we have replaced those items with some new collections we have been consigned, namely Danish programs, soundtrack CDs, pressbooks, and autographed repro photos (we previously auctioned some of these items in our "miscellaneous" Tuesday & Thursday auctions, but now we will solely be auctioning those items on Sundays.
     So this week we have a selection of bulk lots, signed repros, Danish programs, soundtrack CDs, scripts, and pressbooks. In future weeks we will bring back the remainder of the movie magazines, exhibitor magazines, and German programs we still have left, and of course, at any time we might be consigned a new collection of some other type of item that can join our Sunday line-up!

I urge you all to take a close look at the soundtrack CDs. If you look on the Internet, you'll find that many of these are out of print and command pretty substantial prices when they are offered for sale, but many of the ones closing in 7 hours are still just a dollar or two each, including many excellent ones! This is a collectible you may not be aware of, but you will find they are a lot of fun to both collect and listen to!

I also urge you all to take a close look at the "bulk lots" at the start of the auction. There are LOTS of exceptional values there on items of all types!

About the Originality and Rarity of These Inserts
     Inserts from the 1960s on are far more rare than the corresponding one-sheets (with the exception of certain inserts which have been reproduced; see below). In the last few years, many savvy collectors have begun to seek out inserts, realizing their far greater rarity, and in some cases, are paying more for them than for the corresponding one-sheets! We expect this trend to continue in the coming years! NOTE: In recent years a huge number of inserts of certain top titles of the 1970s have been offered in the collector's market (there are also a couple of "suspect" half-sheets). We believe (as do most major dealers) that these are surely counterfeits. They can be distinguished from genuine inserts by their extra glossy front and back, and their "whiter-than-white" appearance.  ALL OF THE INSERTS WE ARE SELLING THIS WEEK ARE 100% GENUINE AND EITHER THEATER-USED OR WERE PRINTED TO BE USED IN THEATERS, BUT WERE FOUND IN POSTER EXCHANGES PRIOR TO GOING TO A THEATER! Our "Regular" Sunday Items Are Back!

For most of 2010 we had a regular Sunday "line-up" of movie magazines, German programs, glass slides, scripts, and bulk lots, and we auctions around 50 of each each week. These were from some pretty remarkable collections that were consigned to us. The past couple of months we took a break from these "regular" Sunday auctions, because we had lots of other items to auction, and we made our Sunday items resemble our Tuesday and Thursday items.
     Now, however, our regular Sunday items are back, but with a difference. We have auctioned just about all of the glass slides we were consigned, and a large portion of the movie magazines and German programs. So in our new "line-up", we have replaced those items with some new collections we have been consigned, namely Danish programs, soundtrack CDs, pressbooks, and autographed repro photos (we previously auctioned some of these items in our "miscellaneous" Tuesday & Thursday auctions, but now we will solely be auctioning those items on Sundays.
     So this week (like last week) we have a selection of bulk lots, signed repros, Danish programs, soundtrack CDs, scripts, and pressbooks. In future weeks we will bring back the remainder of the movie magazines, exhibitor magazines, and German programs we still have left, and of course, at any time we might be consigned a new collection of some other type of item that can join our Sunday line-up!

I urge you all to take a close look at the soundtrack CDs. If you look on the Internet, you'll find that many of these are out of print and command pretty substantial prices when they are offered for sale, but many of the ones closing in 7 hours are still just a few dollar each, including many excellent ones! This is a collectible you may not be aware of, but you will find they are a lot of fun to both collect and listen to!

I also urge you all to take a close look at the "bulk lots" at the start of the auction. There are LOTS of exceptional values there on items of all types!

Our "Regular" Sunday Items Are Back!

For most of 2010 we had a regular Sunday "line-up" of movie magazines, German programs, glass slides, scripts, and bulk lots, and we auctions around 50 of each each week. These were from some pretty remarkable collections that were consigned to us. The past couple of months we took a break from these "regular" Sunday auctions, because we had lots of other items to auction, and we made our Sunday items resemble our Tuesday and Thursday items.
     Now, however, our regular Sunday items are back, but with a difference. We have auctioned just about all of the glass slides we were consigned, and a large portion of the movie magazines and German programs. So in our new "line-up", we have replaced those items with some new collections we have been consigned, namely Danish programs, soundtrack CDs, pressbooks, and autographed repro photos (we previously auctioned some of these items in our "miscellaneous" Tuesday & Thursday auctions, but now we will solely be auctioning those items on Sundays.
     So this week (like last week) we have a selection of bulk lots, signed repros, Danish programs, soundtrack CDs, scripts, and pressbooks. In future weeks we will bring back the remainder of the movie magazines, exhibitor magazines, and German programs we still have left, and of course, at any time we might be consigned a new collection of some other type of item that can join our Sunday line-up!

I urge you all to take a close look at the soundtrack CDs. If you look on the Internet, you'll find that many of these are out of print and command pretty substantial prices when they are offered for sale, but many of the ones closing in 7 hours are still just a few dollar each, including many excellent ones! This is a collectible you may not be aware of, but you will find they are a lot of fun to both collect and listen to!

I also urge you all to take a close look at the "bulk lots" at the start of the auction. There are LOTS of exceptional values there on items of all types. and there are lots and lots of lobby cards and folded and unfolded one-sheets!

Note that some number of the posters we are selling this week were never folded. SOME of the posters were once folded (or partially folded, as in tri-folding, which means it has no vertical foldline, and we always identify if a poster was previously folded and how), but all of those have been stored flat for a long time and will be shipped rolled in tubes, along with the completely unfolded ones. We will NOT re-fold any of the "formerly folded" posters, because it would "bring back" the folds, and that seems like a shame (we will only refold them if the customer insists on it!). WE ALWAYS IDENTIFY WHETHER A POSTER IS UNFOLDED, TRI-FOLDED, OR FORMERLY FULLY FOLDED WITHIN THE DESCRIPTION FOR EACH ITEM!
About the Originality of Rolled One-Sheets
Many collectors would like to add posters from their favorite movies of the 1970s onward to their collection, but they rightfully are afraid they will be sold commercial posters (or reproductions or bootlegs), rather than actual posters either used in theaters or intended for theater use. WHEN YOU BUY FROM US THIS WEEK, YOU HAVE A GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE BUYING A GENUINE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS! This is because almost all of these posters come to us either from theater owners, or from advanced collectors (often ones who purchased the posters right when the movies first came out), people who know how to distinguish an original poster, and also, we here at eMoviePoster very carefully scrutinize every poster to make 100% certain it is genuine! But you don't have to take our word for it! If you purchase any poster this week, and you have the slightest doubts about its originality after you receive it, it is fine for you to return it for a full refund within 7 days of receipt (but we virtually never get a single poster returned, because we reject any poster that is consigned to us if we have the slightest doubts about it!).

Note that we only included 27" x 41" one-sheets in this auction! Prior to the late 1970s, 27" x 41" one-sheets were virtually never found unfolded, but sometime in the late 1970s many poster exchanges started sending posters to theaters either completely unfolded or tri-folded, and over the course of the 1980s, this became the standard and it become rare to see a fully folded poster. Then, sometime in the late 1980s studios began printing their posters in a 27" x 40" format (it was a gradual change, and it was apparently done because they developed the ability to print posters with a "full bleed", meaning there were no white borders anymore). We DO also auction those "newer" 27" x 40" posters (which are almost all from after 1990), but we do that in a completely separate auction from this one. EVERY ONE-SHEET POSTER IN THIS AUCTION MEASURES 27" X 41", UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.

In these days of high starting bids or fourteen dollar minimum buyers premiums, it is a sight for sore eyes to see 689 rolled (either unfolded, tri-folded, or formerly fully folded) 27" x 41" one-sheets at such low, low prices with just 12 hours to go!
