489 one-sheets that are $4 or under with 13 hours to go!

hree times EVERY week we auction hundreds of items that sell for low, low prices (we actually sell lots and lots of items for $1 and $2, and around half of all that we auction goes for $14 and under, and our leading 'competitor" NEVER auctions a single item for less than FIFTEEN DOLLARS, due to their outrageous $14 minimum buyers premium).

But Tuesday night's 999 folded one-sheets covering all years and genres, closing tonight, on the 20th of July, represent REALLY incredible values, and that includes a lot of cool posters of all eras, and yet many of these are currently languishing at low, low, prices!

With just 13 hours to go, the 999 folded one-sheets include 144 that are still languishing at just $1 each, a silly 274 that are $2 each and under, a wacky 413 that are $3 each and under, and a mind-boggling 489 that are $4 each and under! THAT'S RIGHT, JUST UNDER HALF OF THE ITEMS ARE $4 EACH OR UNDER, and there are LOTS of titles that I guarantee you many dealers would ask $20, $30 or more for. This is the closest thing to "free money" I can imagine!

HELLO! This is 2010, and I doubt you could have purchased many of these items for $4 or under 20 years ago, and remember that this price is A TINY FRACTION of the minimum buying price at those "other" auctions (thanks to their ludicrous $14 buyers premiums)! And you can get as many of these items as you want sent in one package anywhere in the U.S. for just $10 shipping for all (or actual cost anywhere else), EVEN IF you win 100 or more! And if you are in our e-mail club (over 6,300 members), you get great added bonuses if you purchase 10 or 15 or 20 items (no matter how inexpensive)!

About The Rolled 27" x 40" One-Sheet Posters
Note that we only included 27" x 40" one-sheets in this auction! Sometime in the late 1980s studios began printing their posters in a 27" x 40" format (it was a gradual change). We DO also auction 27" x 41" posters (which are almost all from before 1990), but we do that in a completely separate auction from this one. EVERY POSTER IN THIS AUCTION MEASURES 27" X 40", UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
Also note that most of the posters we are selling this week were never folded. A very few of the posters were once folded (or partially folded, as in tri-folding), but all of those have been stored flat for a long time and will be shipped rolled in tubes, along with the completely unfolded ones. We will NOT re-fold any of the "formerly folded" posters. WE ALWAYS IDENTIFY WHETHER A POSTER IS UNFOLDED, TRI-FOLDED, OR FORMERLY FULLY FOLDED WITHIN THE DESCRIPTION FOR EACH ITEM!

Where are the many bulk lots and our usual "Sunday items" regularly offered on Sunday?
We are taking a break from our regular Sunday offerings of magazines, scripts, glass slides, German programs, and bulk lots this week while we offer 349 personally autographed items this week, but know that we have a HUGE number of items waiting to be auctioned in our "regular" Sunday auctions, so please know that they will return on Sunday August 22nd, and almost every week thereafter.

About the Autographed Items We Are Offering
Note that 201 of these autographed items come to us from three different collectors.
1) The first collection was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer in the 1970s and 1980s. During that time, he was approached by a man named Sterling H. Bond, who had collected autographs for many years, and who sold the dealer his entire collection. Bond had tracked down many important Hollywood celebrities and obtained autographed items (often personalized to him), and he also had autographs from celebrities who were not in the film business (including famous politicians!). The dealer was so impressed with this collection that rather than sell it item by item, he began collecting autographs himself, sending celebrities items by Registered Mail which they then autographed and returned to him! Now, decades later, the dealer has consigned these autographed items to us. So all of these 69 autographed items we are auctioning were either obtained by long time collector Sterling H. Bond, or were obtained by this memorabilia dealer, and we feel certain that the autograph on this item is authentic! Note that each of those 69 items from this consignor have this paragraph on them.
2) The second collection was consigned to us by an individual who owned a company that made movies and videos with famous celebrities in the 1980s and 1990s. The owner of the company would have the celebrities sign items from their famous films, and sometimes he would find second or third celebrities to autograph an item he already had gotten signed! In addition, he would ask celebrities he came in contact with if they had signed items from other stars that they would sell to him, and he purchased a number of items that way. He also would purchase unsigned items from the famed Larry Edmunds Bookshop in Los Angeles (to have the celebrities sign), and while he was doing that he would also purchase some of their signed items. So all of these 76 autographed items we are auctioning were either obtained in person, obtained from celebrities who obtained them in person, or obtained from the Larry Edmunds Bookshop, and we feel certain that the autograph(s) on this item is authentic! Note that each of those 76 items from this consignor have this paragraph on them.
3) The third collection was consigned to us by a man who worked in the movie business, and who attended many premieres and special Hollywood events. When he would go to them, he would bring stills (usually REPRODUCTIONS, but sometimes originals which we have clearly noted above) of stars he knew would be in attendance, and get them autographed by those stars when he would meet them in person at the event. So all of these 56 autographed items we are auctioning were obtained in person, and we feel certain that the autograph on this item is authentic! Note that each of those 56 items from this consignor have this paragraph on them.
Most of the remaining 148 autographed items were consigned to us by either collectors or dealers who purchased them from reputable autograph sellers between 10 and 30 years ago, and we believe those to surely be authentic autographs as well.
IN EVERY CASE, WE HAVE GIVEN ALL OF THE INFORMATION WE KNOW ABOUT WHERE THE AUTOGRAPH WAS OBTAINED IN THE AUCTION DESCRIPTION FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM. A very few of the items come with a "Certificate of Authenticity", but the vast majority do not. Please read over each auction description carefully, so you will know all we know about the provenance of that item.
We are auctioning approximately one half of the autographed items from each of these collections in this auction, and we will list the remaining one half of these items in a similar auction scheduled to begin October 17th. All three of the main consignors described above have told me that they will give anyone who purchases any of these a 30 day return privilege on any of these autographed items, because they KNOW them to be genuine, and of course, that gives every buyer plenty of time to be 100% certain that they have purchased a genuine autograph!
Remember that most of these items are vintage, but that some are reproductions, and that we always clearly identify which is which. But, IN EVERY CASE, every one of these items was personally signed by the person listed! We know they make wonderful special gifts to those friends or family who you know really like a specific celebrity!

NOTE: EVERY item in this auction has an authentic signature on it which was hand signed onto that item by the celebrity (some of the items are reproductions which the celebrities signed, but those are clearly marked, and the ones that are not marked "REPRODUCTION" are original vintage items). THIS IS A REALLY REMARKABLE OFFERING (which primarily comes from three wonderful collections), and if you have the slightest interest in autographed items, then you won't want to miss this auction (and in addition to many movie autographs, there are quite a few from celebrities in other fields, including politicians and boxers)!

About the Autographed Items We Are Offering
Note that 201 of these autographed items come to us from three different collectors.
1) The first collection was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer in the 1970s and 1980s. During that time, he was approached by a man named Sterling H. Bond, who had collected autographs for many years, and who sold the dealer his entire collection. Bond had tracked down many important Hollywood celebrities and obtained autographed items (often personalized to him), and he also had autographs from celebrities who were not in the film business (including famous politicians!). The dealer was so impressed with this collection that rather than sell it item by item, he began collecting autographs himself, sending celebrities items by Registered Mail which they then autographed and returned to him! Now, decades later, the dealer has consigned these autographed items to us. So all of these 69 autographed items we are auctioning were either obtained by long time collector Sterling H. Bond, or were obtained by this memorabilia dealer, and we feel certain that the autograph on this item is authentic! Note that each of those 69 items from this consignor have this paragraph on them.
2) The second collection was consigned to us by an individual who owned a company that made movies and videos with famous celebrities in the 1980s and 1990s. The owner of the company would have the celebrities sign items from their famous films, and sometimes he would find second or third celebrities to autograph an item he already had gotten signed! In addition, he would ask celebrities he came in contact with if they had signed items from other stars that they would sell to him, and he purchased a number of items that way. He also would purchase unsigned items from the famed Larry Edmunds Bookshop in Los Angeles (to have the celebrities sign), and while he was doing that he would also purchase some of their signed items. So all of these 76 autographed items we are auctioning were either obtained in person, obtained from celebrities who obtained them in person, or obtained from the Larry Edmunds Bookshop, and we feel certain that the autograph(s) on this item is authentic! Note that each of those 76 items from this consignor have this paragraph on them.
3) The third collection was consigned to us by a man who worked in the movie business, and who attended many premieres and special Hollywood events. When he would go to them, he would bring stills (usually REPRODUCTIONS, but sometimes originals which we have clearly noted above) of stars he knew would be in attendance, and get them autographed by those stars when he would meet them in person at the event. So all of these 56 autographed items we are auctioning were obtained in person, and we feel certain that the autograph on this item is authentic! Note that each of those 56 items from this consignor have this paragraph on them.
Most of the remaining 148 autographed items were consigned to us by either collectors or dealers who purchased them from reputable autograph sellers between 10 and 30 years ago, and we believe those to surely be authentic autographs as well.
IN EVERY CASE, WE HAVE GIVEN ALL OF THE INFORMATION WE KNOW ABOUT WHERE THE AUTOGRAPH WAS OBTAINED IN THE AUCTION DESCRIPTION FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL ITEM. A very few of the items come with a "Certificate of Authenticity", but the vast majority do not. Please read over each auction description carefully, so you will know all we know about the provenance of that item.
We are auctioning approximately one half of the autographed items from each of these collections in this auction, and we will list the remaining one half of these items in a similar auction scheduled to begin October 17th. All three of the main consignors described above have told me that they will give anyone who purchases any of these a 30 day return privilege on any of these autographed items, because they KNOW them to be genuine, and of course, that gives every buyer plenty of time to be 100% certain that they have purchased a genuine autograph!
Remember that most of these items are vintage, but that some are reproductions, and that we always clearly identify which is which. But, IN EVERY CASE, every one of these items was personally signed by the person listed! We know they make wonderful special gifts to those friends or family who you know really like a specific celebrity!

While a lot of the pressbooks that exist have ads cut out of them (this is only logical, since they were created with the intention that the theater owners would cut them up and create their own newspaper ads from them), 95% of the 898 pressbooks we are selling this week are COMPLETE AND UNCUT (only 46 of them have either missing pages or ads cut out, and we clearly note which those are). Many collectors have been discovering pressbooks, which have the appeal of both movie posters and magazine type items, and collectors quickly learn that many of them are quite scarce, and especially difficult to find completely uncut. The collection offered this week provides a rare opportunity to locate a wide variety of pressbooks, covering all years and genres, and most of them are complete and uncut!
NOTE THAT WE MAKE IT IMMEDIATELY OBVIOUS WHETHER A PRESSBOOK HAS "CUTS" OR IS "UNCUT"! We put "NO CUTS" after the overall condition grade of the uncut pressbooks, and we put "WITH CUTS" after the condition grade of the cut pressbooks. Know that some of the cut pressbooks are actually in pretty nice condition other than the cuts, and some of the cut pressbooks are not in very good condition at all (and you can tell which are which by looking at our super-sized images).

About "Special" Posters
We regularly receive posters from hundreds of consignors, and the vast majority of them are standard movie poster sizes, and we gather those sizes together, and sell them in individual weeks (each week, posters of a different size). But we also receive a few posters now and then which are NOT standard movie poster sizes, and we also occasionally receive a few posters that are not even movie posters!
Basically, this week we have gathered together 775 of these "special" posters, and are auctioning them all at one time. We urge you to look them all over very carefully, for they cover a HUGE range of years, sizes, and subjects and some are likely extremely rare, and we guarantee you that the vast majority of them will have images that are new to you! Included are a relatively small number of commercial posters (posters sold directly to the public when the movie was created, BUT WE CLEARLY IDENTIFY ALL COMMERCIAL POSTERS AS SUCH!), and also "mini posters", which are the smaller posters that were sometimes given out at theaters to those who attended a movie. IT IS WELL WORTH YOUR WHILE TO LOOK THROUGH ALL OF THESE POSTERS, BECAUSE THERE ARE MANY COOL AND UNUSUAL ONES!

About the glass slides we are auctioning in this Sunday's auctions
In many of our previous Sunday auctions we have auctioned many glass slides (these came from an amazing single owner collection). We are now almost completely done auctioning this wonderful collection! This week (as we did last week) we are auctioning the glass slides that have "condition issues" (ones where there is one or more cracks in the glass, or deterioration in the image, or both). For some of these, the cracks or deterioration are fairly minor, and on some it is quite significant. We have taken the best of these and are auctioning them individually, and have grouped up the really lesser ones into "bulk lots". We have enough of these "lesser condition" slides to fill two weeks more. AFTER THESE ARE GONE, WE ONLY HAVE "SPECIAL" SLIDES (advertising and music-related ones) AND THEN THIS REMARKABLE COLLECTION IS ENTIRELY GONE!
