Born in Austria he created a huge amount of posters for German distributors. My earliest poster is from 1953, the latest from 1973.

Really nice, Mike. He's got a very lifelike style.

And his poster for House Of Usher is really something else. It reminds me of images one might see from back in the 1930s.

clap clap clap

Yes. Sometimes he really caught the faces, which is so difficult.

Scarce door panels for THE WILD BUNCH.

Missed these first time around — those door panels are way cool!

Well done, peckinpah.  I like how the colors are so bright and bold on a lot of the German posters.

I really like the  Bell Book and Candlle, Peckinpah!  Fantastic art of Kim Novak against the blues of Jimmy Stewart.  Okie

It really is a good image, but misleading.  The poster looks sinister, but the film itself is a romantic comedy.

Or, is Jimmy just stunned by Novak's smoldering beauty?  Okie

Not saying in any way that I'm unique, Jeff and Jayn, but Kim Novak has caused me to have Jimmy's same reaction and coloring...   Okie

Beautiful renditions on that poster, Mike. I'm with Okie, giving it a  thumbsup.gif, too.
