One of my best bargains was a 1st edition hardcover us print of STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND, sans dust jacket unfortunately. But for $6 I can't complain.
Strange as it was in the greatest 2nd hand bookstore in Australia (goulds Newtown) and he really should have known better (RIP)

It's amazing how a missing dust jacket can make a huge difference in price, too.

But for 6 bucks? An awesome dea, aril!!  8)

Best bargain I ever picked up was in the late 90's. A Star Wars first advance mylar and a rolled Star Wars style A one sheet. The total price was I had to drive into NYC, about an hour, and pick them up from the owner. When I got there I was even more surprised that the Star Wars Style A was still in its original shipping tube addressed from 20th Century Fox. He did not have the sipping crate for the mylar though but I was not complaining in the least.

I picked up a 31 edition Frankenstein in similar circumstances, no dust jacket, but only £3...
Looks great without the jacket, very oldy...

I don't know if this is my BEST bargain, but I don't think I've hit BUY IT NOW so fast on anything else, it was a real surprise just to find one.

$100 and free shipping from Italy (when does that happen?)

Ted always appreciates this one.  ;)

Yea... after a while it kind of becomes less of a blessing and more of a curse... but it's a curse I'll gladly bear.

I totally forgot my biggest bargain, that Marisa Mell collection.  Per piece it came out ridiculously cheap.

What might be more impressive Jim is that it arrived (presumably) unscathed from Italy!

I just paid chump change for this unique Lady and the Tramp one of a kind - a measly $53,900 AND $450 for shipping and insurance...  Suck it chumps!   ;D

I guess I'm pretty lucky when it comes to buying from Italy.  I think I've said this before but that's practically where I buy 80% of my posters, and I bought my Marisa Mell photos and photo albums from there as well.  I'm about 98 for 100 when it comes to dealing with Italy.  My only real burn was that Diabolik poster I posted about a while back, and in the end it worked out (I actually came out 30 bucks ahead because I didn't file a claim through eBay and got to keep my eBay bucks) and the seller is now trying to pawn it off on someone else.

I got these three B1s for $1.00 each (and the shipping from Japan was $8.00)

And this B1 was $2.00
