Hey all, Happy New Year and Happy Poster Hunting in 2017  thumbsup.gif !
These are a few recent acquisitions,

Death Takes a Holiday - (undersized "B2"), I think this poster is from the 1935 release of the film in Japan.  The poster's text on the left is also advertising the showing of Bing Crosby / Carole Lombard's We're Not Dressing.

Code of Wolves B2 - Mr. Yakuza singing in the rain

Scanners B2 - Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue" keeps popping into my head.

WoW! I so totally dig that SCANNERS! And--yes--Ha! It DOES remind me of the ELECTRIC AVENUE song. (Now THANKS for getting that song stuck in my head. Grrrr.)

I received this one today. Thank again Randy. Sorry for the crap photo, I was excited to open it.
Thai Friday the 13th

This is a hard one to find, it's super thin paper so many didn't last the test of time.  Congrats on that!  I'm surprised Randy gave this one up.

That Japanese "Death Takes A Holiday" is very nice and so is that glass slide for "London After Midnight" - two very hard to find titles, congratulations both.

LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT---Uber-WOW!!!!  That is some kind of RARE! BRAVO!!!!

Anyway, hi there. It's the 15th. I have a new post, as usual, on my thread that will be up in a few minutes. This post is a bit different than the usual though. All explained on my thread. In the mean time, here is a sample.

CARRIE (French re-release?):

ANDY WARHOL'S LONESOME COWBOY (German):

CARRIE (Spanish):

SHAWN -  love the Carrie posters. My favourite is the French but do like the simple design of the Spanish one.

Just recently arrived 3 German A1s for Carrie.

Hello SIMON! Nice pick ups. Where did you happen to get those posters? The "glut" of CARRIE material of late seems to come from my late friend's estate (see the post on my thread for more info). If they were his, I am glad they went to a good home and I apologize for probably bidding against you. I can't buy all of his stuff...so if they were his---I'm super glad they are YOURS now. Very NICE!!!  Congrats!

This is what I like most about this forum.  I thought I had a title like Carrie covered, turns out I didn't.  Now it's done.  Thanks for the tip, basemen ;)

Shawn - Thanks, thought you might like them. These 3 came from eBay. Just read your post and I think it may very well be from your friends estate. Looking back at the eBay sold posters your Spanish Carrie poster looks to be the same one. I've said before but I really like these German A1s (not allowed to mention price ;D being a taboo subject), this title doesn't come up often and the last piece sold at EMP in 2012, the split photo has only sold once in 2008 and not seen the Sissy and John photo style one previously.

Don't worry about bidding against me, I'm fairly cheap and don't like to spend to much anyway so often lose out  :).

Ted - Thanks and I am glad you like them. My favourite is the first one followed very closely by the second image.

Thierry - Always happy to help out a fellow collector, you know, be that fountain of knowledge goto guy for someone. Just kidding, my knowledge and collection pales in comparison to yours notworthy.gif but glad it helped you complete Carrie.

Here's some trivia for you, Paul.  Terry Moore is the mother of one of my closest friends, Grant Cramer, who rose to "fame" as the lead in Killer Klowns and most recently produced Lone Survivor with Wahlberg.  I met Terry a few times and had a little bit of a Swanson moment upon entering her apartment in Santa Monica.  She gave me a bunch of signed photos of her and Dean, her and Monroe... etc.  I don't collect autographs so I probably tossed them.  Or maybe not, I don't know.  Your poster reminded me of all this so I thought I'd share.

These are great, Devin. Especially the B2 for Death Takes A Holiday. If that is from first release in Japan, that is a real rarity. I checked on imdb and no release year is given for Japan. How did you learn it was released there in 1935? A secret source?  ;)  You also mentioned this poster is a slightly undersized B2. Can I ask what the dimensions are?

I also have the B2 for Scanners and the colors and imagery just pop! Congrats on all 3 wins/purchases there.   sm1
