Yes, pinch the line from Bride of Franky, and then deliver yet another cgi fest...  Why can't they just make a good old creepy horror film...      dontknow.gif

first I thought it was another Mission Impossible film. Then I had no idea what it was, then I was shaking my head

Oh boy... I almost turned off the trailer twice. More overblown & overused CGI. I have a bad feeling about this one... and you gotta love the completely original title, too.  Doh.gif

And where is Brendan Fraser? Not even a cameo?  ;D

Or maybe not.

Seems some die-hard Fraser fans aren't happy about T. Cruise being cast in this new flicker:

Let's give it a chance fellas.

Cruise doesn't walk into turkeys that often, if indeed ever really...

Did you guys not watch the trailer???

I'm not saying it will be crap, but as a Universal Horror fan, it's not what I want, but they are trying to entice us in with the line from Bride of Franky....  Why??

Honestly couldn't say fella.

But I daresay they are trying to create a whole New bunch of horror fans based on the current technological output and that which competes with today's audiences' expectations.

Might be the constant problem old and knackered people (of which I am one) who have managed to live through various remakes and who say their first viewed variant is the best.

Imagine this, everyone who saw the first two Ben Hur variants decided that the Charlton Heston version was just not up to snuff...  Might have happened.

Apparently, Universal Studios wants to get in on the franchise action that Star Wars, Marvel and DC are cashing into.
I've read many articles out there about it and the 'Gods and Monsters' line is what its using to usher them in.
Get ready for new Wolf Man, Frankenstein, Dracula, Invisible Man and Creature from the Black Lagoon titles.
Read a little more here: http://deadline.com/2014/07/universal-classic-movie-monsters-805169/

Hopefully, they'll do something entertaining.
 cheers
