Has anyone heard the scoop on the new Nikita series. Is it supposed to be any good? I really liked La Femme Nikita and am kinda excited to see a new take, so I hope it doesn't suck. I think Xander Berkeley is a great choice as Operations. And, I think anyone would be better than Roy Dupuis as Michael. That guy always struck me as a whiny bitch, probably because he's French or something. As far as Maggie Q (right, thats her real name) as Nikita, I dunno. Time will tell the tale on that one, but following Peta Wilson will be tough. Any thoughts?

Don't know anything about it, but I sure am anticipating it. I loved the series too, except for the finale which turned some strong people into mush (Madeline and Operations). I have a onesheet for the tv series that I really love.

It's the first ad in this week's Entertainment Weekly. If I had cable, I'd catch it:

Yowza....she kinda looks like Psylocke (sp?) from the X-Men during the Jim Lee years.

Bastard! I always felt like Madeline and Operations put on a strong front, but were really pretty fearful characters which just finally came out in the finale.

Is that really suitable attire for a hitwoman?? I guess the desired effect is to induce some sort of S&M fantasy before she shoots me..... wait that would actually work... Stew

Sure it is. She distracts you with her tattoo and then pulls the guns on you. Besides, she isnt really a hit woman so much as a "problem solver".
But seriously, the show may fail in this area. Peta Wilson was very sexy, but she was all about sexy with a lot of class. That, while certainly provocative is lacking the later of those two elements, IMO.

I love your frame of referrence. I've always loved Jim Lee's take on Psylocke.

Watched it tonight. Thought it was pretty good for a CW series. I will leave it on record for the rest of the season. This is my first show on the CW to watch since Buffy and Angel left the WB and UPN.
