Going through my poster draws I found this German release poster for Franco's Succubus. It was called Necronomicon in Germany, I don't have many German posters, as apart from they bombed our Chippy, I don't care for their posters much. I have had this a while, and was wondering if there is any way to tell what year of release it is? It looks a bit shiney for 1968, but who knows.

I think it is an original from 1968, Paul. I have a few German posters from that era and the paper quality is very nice and often glossy.
Armin at Posteroid might have a definitive answer...
Great poster....there are a few on Ebay Germany right now...

While I am no expert on German movie posters (better ask me questions on Japanese ones....), I checked the details on German websites and distributor Constantin indeed released this film in 1968 so it should be a first release poster.
And as Brude mentioned, a shiny poster is not unusual for a German poster of that time.

Thanks for the info guy's I was never quite sure. I have a 63 Raven also that's quite shiny, I always put down to a re-release, maybe that's first release too.
