I recently started collecting vintage movie posters. I wanted to display my posters, but didn't want them to dominate all rooms of the house. My approach is to use a double billing set of frames on a feature wall. I look for common themes and enjoy switching them up, it's a fun way to change the ambience of the room. Just thought I'd share my approach in case others are interested; Here are photos of my Double Feature billings:
Invasion from Space (The Blob and Not of this Earth):
Urban Drama (City that Never Sleeps and When Worlds Collide):Framing was done by Sue from Hollywoodposterframes (
www.hollywoodposterframes.com), and I highly recommend her. She was very helpful and really has passion for the art form. I went with a flat 1.5 inch archival frame coupled with a 1.5 inch off white mat. It offers a sleek profile and fits any of my one sheets. I'm planning on searching out some more posters that will work as a a pair.
Does anyone else display this way? If so please share your Double Features!
