Is this "vouching" some kind of British thing? That's all fine and good he's "vouching" but relatively useless, since he just as easily could tell us exactly what Ad owns.  In US courts you are allowed to put on general "reputation" evidence in certain limited circumstances, but it's pretty weak evidence.

In Adz's defense, he must have some reason for why he does not want to indicate which posters he owns, take pictures of the posters he owns, and write thousands of words rather than just take a few pictures or even list the posters he owns.  It is obviously a never-ending saga, that is, until people just give up and accept the fact that he will answer those questions when he feels like it (if ever), or he posts the pictures of his collection (with some evidence that they are, in fact, his own photographs, of his own posters).  

I try to not take sides on a lot of issues, but this is going a little too far, IMO, and I think it would be in the best interest for people in general (under most circumstances) to just accept someone, despite his/her shortcomings, and not harass that person, due to a misunderstanding, disagreement, or whatever this is called.  Although it would be nice to have some closure to this whole situation, that is, seeing photographs of what is claimed to be a nice collection, I do not think it is very becoming of anyone, or this forum as a whole, to poke and prod someone for this length of time.  We've all done things in our lives that were not exactly becoming of us, and I understand that we should all be allowed certain freedoms of speech, but there is a point where something goes too far, and IMHO, this has gone too far.

I've just heard from an extremely reliable source that his father is the source of his posters.  I figured something like that might be the case.  If that's true, he should say it instead of being ridiculously evasive.  Until we get a coherent explanation and some pics, it's all a big scam and he's set himself up for ridicule.

If Adam had come to the forum and said: "Guys, I'm so sorry, I fucked up.  I was trying to impress you by lying and telling you I owned one the best Bond collection in the world, when I really don't and I'm just trying to collect posters like all of you, so for that I apologize and I promise I will try to be less cocky in the future," it would have all ended.  Adam would have join us as a respectable member of our community who made a mistake and was man enough to admit it.  Instead of that, he kept coming back again, and again, fighting fraud allegation with more lies, telling us that he was just too busy, on and on.  NeoLoco, I really don't think any of us care about Adam.  He's just a simpleton who got caught in a web of intrigue.  But it's just too much fun to see him trying to defend himself.

As far as "defense" and "reasons", I think the only reasonable explanation is stubbornness.  ADZ has posted the same story that doesn't make an ounce of sense.  His story is that he just doesn't have TIME to take pictures of posters and as a weak follow-up when that dead horse gets tired he uses his perfectionism as an excuse (e.g., if he's going to take pictures they had better be perfect).

A) He clearly has plenty of time.  He has all the time in the world to post here and EVERYWHERE on the interwebs that he has this collection and to defend himself against all the nasty barbs from all-comers.  Amongst other evidence, thanks to the recent revelations from the intrepid Mel, he has time to post VERY DETAILED, time consuming profile(s) on Facebook telling you all about his likes and dislikes, "subtly" folding in pictures of himself with "ironic" T-shirts that declare he is a "sex master" (if I'm reading that correctly).

B) The perfectionism line is obviously disconnected from reality.  If he were a perfectionist he wouldn't post amateurish Photoshopped pictures of himself like that.  They are crap and anyone who is half-competent with design programs can see that, and I hope most non-lobotomized humans can as well.  He also wouldn't post pictures of a red Goldfinger with googly whited-out space as if it were done in MS fucking Paint by a child.  This perfectionism bit is such a poor execution of a red herring that I'll just stop here.

"Going too far"?  His insistence on sticking with the story and going as globally as possible with it, while seemingly adding layers of lies all the time (about every aspect of life, it seems) and stretching out the saga is the problem.  People are calling his bluff and he just keeps going deeper into his stack.  Even if he NEVER APOLOGIZED but just SHUT UP ABOUT IT I think this whole thing would go away in a matter of 6 weeks.  It would be a side issue inside joke meme on poster forums but that's about it.  He must have his reasons for not showing the collection?  Yes, but they are unfathomable to rational people.

As long as he continues to act out (and I have no doubt this will not end until something big blows up) this will keep going forever.  Yes, it's a train wreck, but no one can turn away from a train wreck.  Look at Lindsay Lohan.  Can you imagine her behavior not being reported?  Of course not, same deal here.
