To me it doesn't matter if someone inherited their collection or not. I just enjoy that a person has a passion for their collection and the hobby.

If someone inherits a house or part house, that frees up money to potentially buy up posters. People dont need to declare they came into some luck to obtain their collection.

Sounds like jealousy to me...

Yeah, I'm vindictive, diabolically evil, and insanely jealous of Adz's imaginary inherited collection.  What can I say but:

You know what if Adz does have the posters... honestly that's great, and its not a problem if he got them from his dad either. He is very lucky if that's true

Its all the bragging and bullshit, a little humility and honesty and he would have won the respect of people, it matters not where they came from (as long as they weren't thieved).

Have you confirmed this with Steven?  I am pretty sure I read he collects posters too and of course he actually has produced actual living, breathing Spielberg Spawn...   Kiss

I have the world's most "bonerific" collection of beauty and XXX posters.

Mentioning that fact is pretty much conversational hari-kari on a date....

I worked at Amblin for a few years, I know exactly what he has, and I can tell you he doesn't collect his own posters.  I actually was in charge of finding an ET Moon poster that Steven wanted to give to a close collaborator.  Most directors/collectors collect other people's stuff, people they admire.  I remember a great Casablanca 3 sheet in one of the hallways.

 Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Sometimes I wish I had started collecting much earlier... because if there is no record of a poster in either Heritage's or eMovie's archives it might as well not even exist.

I soooo wanted to take pictures while I was working over there, but the boss's specific orders were: no pictures whatsoever in or around Amblin.  I remember having friends over for lunch one day, and they really wanted to sit on the Forrest Gump bench, which sat in a courtyard and was a gift from Zemeckis (Imagemovers had their offices on the 2nd floor).  Then unbeknownst to me, one of my friends pops up a camera, and within a second, a security guard is on his ass.  I don't even know where the guy came from.  I got a lot of shit for that.

I saw that but didn't want to cast any further doubts on our Adz, some one might think i am picking on him!

I am still waiting for his mate on MPF to get back to me after his hysterical rant.

They were older than 90 days so they aren't listed anymore... however they show up in the feedback link.  Who knows how transparent he was about them in the auction description...

the one that Bondposters.com has I can now understand why he was sticking out for four figures. That guy isn't as daft as people make him out to be! Anyway, off to work and great to talk. best regards

Above is a quote from Dunkybabes on MPF, surely another coincidence, DunkyBabes sticking up for Adz?

Internet Forums – Preview

Hey guys!

This is just a preview of an article I am writing about internet forums.

The reason I am posting this is because it is very funny with regards to the mighty strength of contradiction and irony:

I am a member of a number of internet forums; some are great, some are not so.

I have experienced first hand praise & joy on these forums, but I have also, unfortunately, experienced victimisation at the hands of immature & vindictive prima donna’s.

A lot of nasty things are said on forums, some of which is not needed, or deserved, whether or not the person it is being directed to is naive or just plain thick (sorry, a bit politically incorrect there).

Below is a direct quote from a unnamed member of an internet forum:

“That’s bollox. Its not me guys I swear. I was just sayin it as a joke. Stew mailed me saying did I buy it a few hours ago and I told him no I was joking. But whoever did buy it needs to learn some respect for others on here that’s for sure.”.

I have deliberately put the last sentence of the above quote in bold because it highlights the very thing that is predominantly missing from the forum in question: RESPECT.

Keep an eye out for my full article coming soon.
