It certainly is a minefield, but fortunately the inserts I have or want seem to be easily identified as genuine due to cropped artwork as well as minty white whites 😅

If you are on top of it, then good for you. So many people fall for this crap, especially on ebay. They usually get weeded out by the time they are sent to auction houses like eMovie.

Are you after the original Raiders or the 1982R insert? Pretty sure the latter is/was minty-free.

Shennanigans.  There are frauds in every size, and minty white half sheets and lobbies as well.

My solution is to stay away from those titles that are likely to be forged.  I mean, really, there are 100000 titles to choose from.  Do you really need a copy of the same Raiders poster everyone else has?  I try to pick posters that have good images first, known faces second and popular films third.  Frankly, the posters for many of the iconic films are boring or derivative.

Strangely MY Minty White Blade Runner Insert is in my top 100 posters I own

MovieArt has the 1982 insert - but it is geunine.  I do not at present have any of the 1981 inserts.  I consider the 1982 original, although technically it is a reissue.
