He was the first to imprint that look. Paramount's art department in 1920  headed by Kallis and Trotta was full of talented artists. But Henry Clive is my favourite. He gave the stars that... glamour..his work in the 20s..up to his work in the late 40s..

So many from that time are stunning.  Great info., Rosa.  Sounds like the guy was a pioneer.

Henry Clive was one of the top glamour pin-up artists of his period. He also was a prolific magazine cover illustrator and advertising illustrator as well.
I'm sure to have some archive of material I have scanned (direct from covers or ads) and maybe I can find some & post it

Please do Rich! I have seen some of the magazine covers he did and i can understand the appeal. They have a very modern look..even to this day...
